Oh hai,
If you’ve just come over from the link under my Disney Collection video, hi there! Hello! Welcome! If you’re a regular reader, welcome back! Come on in, the water’s fine!
I wanted to tell you a little bit about why I love Disney World so very, very much. I share a lot of my love for it on my social platforms, for example this recent reel, this youtube video or this throwback insta-post and I hope to share a lot more when the world opens up properly and we can fly again! Our next trip is booked for October!
DisneyWorld is one of the few places where I only have happy, safe memories from all of my life. After having a ropey AF childhood, this means such a lot. To have a place filled with so much joy, untouched by the troubles you’ve faced, that’s special.
My Mum and Dad took a special disney trip when they found out her cancer was terminal and having that last special weekend in such a happy place has stayed with me forever. Every time I ride the little boats on Small World, I think fondly of her and feel like she’s close by.
As time has gone on, it’s become more and more of a special place. I’ve taken my girls at all different ages and watched the joy in their eyes as parades roll by or princesses hug them. I love it so much that Liam proposed there! One of the most special moments of my life, in one of my favourite places on earth, with some of the most important people all around me, it doesn’t get much better than that!
I feel relaxed at DisneyWorld. That doesn’t sound like a big statement but Hi, I’m a type A person with no ‘off’ button so a place where I can let go a bit is LOVELY. It’s also lovely for my family too, nice for us all to go at a slower pace and actually enjoy being in the moment together.
Both my children love going and Liam is always up for a trip. I once heard (or read) someone say, ‘I feel so sorry for her kids, all those Disney trips, they must be bored senseless’. What on earth is the world coming to when someone feels sorry for children going to Disney, haha! I don’t think many children would complain about a visit to see Mickey Mouse but maybe theirs would – eep! The magical characters, fun rides, yummy treats, I think my girls would go every single day if we could!
I find when I’m there, holding my girl’s hands or walking through the beautifully themed parks and resorts with Liam, every little bit of me is happy. I’m not worrying about to-do lists, not overthinking, not fretting, I’m just there, in the moment, with my family. We all feel it.
On top of those big heart reasons, I love the little things too! I enjoy the amazing storytelling throughout all the venues, I love the glitz and fun (Sequin minnie ears! Yes please!). I love the nice treats and fun food, the music, the entertainment and the rides. It’s a lorra, lorra fun, I tell you!
Over the years I’ve also enjoyed taking friends and wider family to my favourite place. If you think enjoying something is nice, wait til you see the people you love enjoy it too – extra special!
At the risk of turning this post into a listicle, I’ll stop, but lemme just say once more, for the cheap seats at the back, I freaking love me a bit ‘o Disney magic so brace yourself for a whole lot more on this little slice of the net! Would you like any reviews, q&a’s, chats, or tips&tricks? Let me know and your wish is my command!

Hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it,
Louise xxx
