Oh hai!
Long time no see eh? Well, probably not in general internet terms because I have an unhealthy addiction to my phone, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube etc but in traditional blog world, it’s been a while hasn’t it?
Blogging is where I began in 2009 and I’ve never stopped loving writing, it’s just that, it’s evolved. Like a Pokemon but less cool.
Over the years I carried on with the original Sprinkle of Glitter blog for many years and loved it dearly. Around 2015 I began my publishing journey and wrote Life With A Sprinkle of Glitter, my first ever non fiction and my first Sunday Times Number One best seller. Wooo!! Over the next five years I wrote four more books (ahem, all best sellers, ahem) and you can find all of them HERE.
As you’d imagine, writing actual books took up a lot of my writing juices (ew) and so the blog took a slight knock down the to-do list. On top of that I’ve really enjoyed working on some freelance writing for various publications.
I had a column in Mother & Baby magazine, I’ve written thought pieces for Grazia and I’ve also dabbled in some articles for the BBC. It’s been a lot of fun!
The thing is, blogging, as the Gen Z would say, ‘hits different’. There’s a sweet spot here that I miss. I love pouring my thoughts out in typed text (ever noticed how long my insta captions are? Ha!) and I love feeling like I’m writing to a best friend, a confident who has thoughts and feelings back in return.
As you can see, I’ve gone all out and had a FULL JAZZY WEBSITE made. Did you read that caps lock bit in a booming voice? I hope so, that’s how it was intended. You might recall I had a new site last year but as we went to upgrade it in January, we found it had a few issues and felt it was probably best to have a full re do. So, here we are, full re do and I love it. Stick around and click around, you’re very welcome here.
I have a list as long as my arm of blog posts I want to write. I’m keen to tackle some harder hitting topics like my thoughts on money, god and grief but I also love the light and fluffy so expect some chat around style, Disney and vintage shopping too!
