Little throwback to our gorgeous #BlueChristmasTree last year! I feel like all these decorations over the years are too beautiful to only share once 🎄❄️🤍

I don’t know if I ever told you but this is an ‘ocean tree’. We had ‘coral-esque’ glittery bits, iridescent jelly fish, clusters of crabs (lots of ‘we’ve got crabs’ jokes over Dec 2019 😆🦀) and the big ribbon down the middle was to represent water. 💧
.
Basically, it was really weird but also, looked amazing and was SUCH a fun talking point with guests!

This year I’ve been following accounts with so many weird and wonderful creations and I still have one more weird one in my house this year to show you too! I can feel a reel reveal coming on haha!! We’ve made it to another weekend in #LockdownTwo and I am ready to switch off and zone into really tedious little tasks.

Last night I put Pearlie’s dressing gown on the heater so she was cosy when she came down this morning, I’ve been leaving sweet treats by the door for all the delivery people who have worked round the clock this year and I’m (safely) delivering Auntie Judith a goodie basket because she lives alone and that has been tough for her.

Had big plans for some incredible #christmasconten

Had big plans for some incredible #christmascontent tonight. Was laying on the floor to get an ‘up shot’ of the tree (good lord) and THIS HAPPENED!!!!👶🏼👧🏼🤪

All day I’ve tried reallllllyyyyy hard to be picture perfect. I don’t know why but sometimes this TINY voice says, ‘everyone else has it together, you should try a bit harder’.
.
But, guess what? Nobody really has it together. Most of use are in hoodies with saggy bras and kids all over the place, tidying to do, junk drawers overflowing etc etc etc.
.
I’m grateful for this moment and I love these blurry photos of people I birthed trying to sit on my head and ‘finish Mummy’ (though slightly terrifying)! 😂❤️

Liam’s off and we have Darcy so my whole gang is here! Hoping it stays dry for a park visit to burn of tiny people energy and then I think a movie afternoon or some crafting!

I’ve learnt this year that as long as I have Liam, my girls and a bit of chat with friends online, I’m lucky. That’s all I need. 💖 (Oh and ‘lockdown wine’ is a thing yeah?!).

Do you remember when she was this tiny?! We took Darcy for a trial at a new dance school this week and LOVED it 🥰💪🏻✨
.
She had been doing ballet at school (they had an external tutor come in) since she was 4 but with 2020 being what it is, that all stopped in March.
.
One of the other school mums suggested another place and Darcy absolutely adored it! It was so cool inside, huge dance studios, a really positive atmosphere and the staff were so welcoming.
.
Hopefully once #lockdown2 is over, we can start there properly and I can enjoy even more ‘shows’ in the lounge from Doodles! When Pearl is 3, we’ll see about her doing a few classes too! Squee!
.
Such a waffley post but I am just loving this stage of #motherhood right now🥰❤️. As you know, I had a very turbulent upbringing and sadly that meant I didn’t have the chance to do any clubs like this. It’s lovely giving these opportunities to them now 💖

AD 💕 How old were you when you had your first bank card? @StarlingBank have just launched their new “Kite Card” for children ages 6-16. It links to my app in my phone so I can control everything seamlessly and see what’s going on. Phew, I’m a worrier so having real time spend notifications and transparency is really important to me. If you have two parents in the fam, you can have joint access to it.

I’ve been teaching Darcy how to use money for a while now so having a card feels like a comfortable, logical step in the right direction. I think it’s SO important to teach children the value of saving, wise spending and how to budget. I wish I had listened a bit more when I was little and could have prevented myself from making some costly mistakes in my teens and twenties!

🎃Happy Halloween!🎃 I’ve ‘dressed’ up as a Mummy pretending to have her life together- SCARY! 🤭🥰

So, I wanted to be that Mum who has amazing photos of her children dressed up but as per, I’ve not managed.

Pearlie and Darcy both wore their outfits last week but didn’t want to take photos and I don’t like to make ‘photo shoots’ awful stressful affairs. There’s a pic on my stories of P in her pumpkin suit but she’s all cuddled up on my lap so you can’t see it and the only pic I have of D in her witch dress is with a little pal who I don’t have consent to share online. So, it’s me in the bath and lets face it, that’s pretty terrifying! 🤣🛁

I don’t normally do much for #halloween but this year I’ve REALLY loved decorating for it and doing cute things with the girls. I think because 2020 has been a bit flat (understatement of the decade), I’ve enjoyed focussing on something light and fun. 👌🏻🧡
