October Bucket List 2nd October 2020
Oh Hai,

How the heck is it October please? I know we say this for every passing chunk of time but WTF is going on?
2020 is the weirdest and honestly, my heart/emotions STILL feel like they are in March but here we are with pumpkins on the porch!
As I type this out the rain is pounding on the window frames and I can hear the wind blustering all round the exterior walls of the house.
It’s not even 3pm but I’ve turned my little lamps on and I’m wearing my favourite black pyjamas with pink and orange roses on them. I’m tucked under a fluffy soft duvet with my laptop out, ready to blog.
I am PEAK cosy here haha!
One of my all time favourite things to do is write a list. There’s something so soothing about pouring all those whirring, swirling thoughts out of your head and onto paper (or screen). It’s like organising your brain wires and that feels good.
I thought today I’d share my October Bucket List!
Half as a bit of inspiration for you and half to remind myself as the days go by. It’s really easy to be swept up in the week to week but I do like to stop and enjoy the seasons too.
I looked back through my photos from last October (I’ve shared a few in this post) and as I’m sure you’re acutely aware of, things are so different now. I’ve adjusted my list accordingly but it still does have some ‘wishful thinking’ points on it – you’ve gotta have a little hope eh?
So, what would I love to do this month?

Bedtime Cosies!
We do this all year round but it’s especially lovely in Autumn. I like to spend a bit of time with the girls before bed, watching YouTube videos (usually our old ones because they love seeing themselves) and snuggling under the blankets. I’m tempted to buy us all matching jammies or should I save that for Christmas?
Spooky treats!
I’m such a sucker for a novelty bat cookie or a hot chocolate in a Halloween cup. I know it’s piffle but it makes me so happy.

Craft Nights!
As the evenings draw in more and more, I want to spend a bit of time doing something that soothes me. The very best way to slow my racing mind is crafting. I’ve made all kinds of things throughout September and look forward to more this month too.
Bath Time!
OMG I can’t even tell you how happy I am with my newly renovated bathroom. Should I write a whole post on this?! I plan to be in her a LOT haha.

Be Outside!
Now, I’ll unashamedly admit that I’m not really an outside gal buuuutttt, I do love a nice Autumn walk when the leaves are falling and everyone is wrapped up well. Blows away the cobwebs and then is a nice excuse to repeat point 2 on the list!
Werk, werk, werk!
I really miss ’normal’ work. I’ve not been in my podcast studio since before the pandemic and I’ve not attended any events. I would love to TRY and have a bit more of this. There’s a shoot booked for Monday which I know I’ll love and I hope a few more things open up safely too.

Friends!
Appreciate there is a rule of 6 right now but if there were an appropriate way to see some more of my friends, I would really love that. I looked back at some of last year’s photos and it seems so odd to be standing close together or being in packed rooms!
Hit my Goals!
I’ve set myself some goals for this blog and for my Instagram (check it out ha!) so I’m looking forward to working hard and hitting them!

Date Night!
Every time Liam and I make the effort to book a sitter and go for dinner, we say, ‘this was lovely, we should do it every week’ and then….don’t. We’re going to do better this month!!
Christmas!
I know, I know, it’s so early to think about the festive holidays but I’m a planner and it gives me quite a lot of joy to plan it all in haha!

I’d really love to know what your mini goals or plans are for this month! I might ask Darcy and Pearl what they want to do and make a children’s version of this post too – I bet it would be a lot more fun that mine haha!
Hope you have a brilliant weekend, don’t forget to check out my recent post with tonnes of free Autumn wallpapers annnddd don’t forget to watch my latest IGTV!
